History

"The value of our business is built on a long-term commitment towards training and retaining our employees."
Thomas Markl, Founder and General Manager

In 1987,
certified precision machinist Thomas Markl established his workshop in Deisenhofen, near Munich, Germany. That same year, Markl’s first apprentice began training at the firm, establishing a tradition of vocational training that remains a cornerstone of company practice today.

Healthy growth. In 1988, three full-time machinists joined the company. By the time the firm moved into a larger facility (800 square meters) in 1990, the workforce had grown to nine employees.

Steady expansion. By registering his operation as a GmbH (the German equivalent of an LLC) in 1996, Thomas Markl set the course for future expansion. Thanks to steady investments in high-tech machinery and the creation of new jobs, the company and its 25 employees relocated to a new workshop (2,300 square meters) in 2000.
